This April, Sing’theatre invites you to smash-hit horror comedy rock musical Little Shop of Horrors which has taken the world by storm for over 30 years. Written by Howard Ashman, this hilarious musical features a live five-man band that will perform music by the creative talent behind Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, promising a captivating theatre experience you won’t forget!

Surprising antagonist: a blood-eating plant

It’s not very often that you come across a movie, let alone a theatre show, that stars a plant who thirsts for human blood. In this mesmerising storyline, you’ll follow the story of a somewhat shy floral assistant, Seymour, who comes across a strange plant that he fondly names ‘Audrey II’ after his crush.

Little did he know that this foul-mouthed R&B-singing carnivore is about to change his life with an offer he couldn’t resist – a promise of fame and fortune in exchange for human blood. Desperate to transform his life and finally be recognised and respected by his peers, Seymour soon becomes caught up in chaos and global domination schemes that spin out of control.
