You’ll soon be able to snowboard and ski in Singapore! Keep your eyes peeled for Trifecta, in Orchard offering surfing, skating, snowboarding and skiing in Singapore from $40
Orchard Road home to many shopping malls will soon be where you’ll find Asia’s first surf, snow and skate attraction — Trifecta by The Ride Side — where you’ll be able to skate, surf, ski and snowboard in Singapore! Trifecta will open on 28 October 2023, and will feature the world’s first hybrid skate bowl designed for skateboarding and surfskating, plus facilities for both beginners and seasoned pros to learn and train for surfing and winter sports (though it won’t have an ice skating rink)! It’s going to be the perfect spot for training the kiddos before heading to the real ski slopes in Japan!
Trifecta, Singapore on Orchard Rd
Trifecta is located next to Somerset Skate Park on Orchard Road. The 4,609sqm sports venue (that’s as big as four Olympic swimming pools!) will allow visitors to try both winter and summer sports under one roof! They’ll do this with the help of high-tech, state-of-the-art machines, including indoor surf and snow simulators. That said, Trifecta will not have snow – instead, they’re going for a more environmentally sustainable approach by using a special surface material that mimics the feel of snow when you ski or skateboard on it.
Snow Arena: Snowboard & Skiing in Singapore
The Trifecta Snow Arena will feature virtual reality ski simulator machines with speed simulation and directional movements to mimic natural mountain terrain. The freestyle area is fitted with airbags and dry slopes so riders can try snowboarding tricks such as jumps and backflips safely.
Trifecta rates: from $40 for Open Sessions.
Surf Arena
Featuring Asia’s largest and deepest standing wave pool at 10m wide, the Trifecta’s Surf Arena can generate waves as high as 1.5m! Surfing is the name of the game here, so visitors can grab a surfboard and hit the waves in this Olympic-size deep-water wave pool.
Trifecta rates: from $80 for Open Sessions.
Skate Arena: Skateboard & Surfskate
Trifecta’s skate arena features the world’s first hybrid skate bowl designed for skateboarding and surfskating. Designed by skaters from popular Balinese skate parks, Trifecta’s skate arena is built to complement the Somerset Skate Park next door. Try more than 10 types of skate bowl features here. The bowl also doubles up as a rainwater harvesting pool, as they aim to recycle the rainwater collected in this unsheltered part of the sports venue.
Rates: Free entry! Classes start from $40.
Where to Eat at Trifecta: Butter by Two Men Bagel House
Trifecta has collaborated with Two Men Bagel House to set up Butter, a cafe offering all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner menus with baked goods, grain bowls, coffee, desserts and beers.
Trifecta by The Ride Side Tickets
First-timers at Trifecta are required to sign up for a compulsory Arena Intro Class if they intend to use the Surf and Snow Arenas. These classes fall under the Single Class passes for 60-minute sessions starting from as low as $54 for Skate, $90 for Snow/Ski, and $108 for Surf.
Online bookings for Trifecta tickets are now open with early-bird packages (up to 10% off passes and credit packages), available until 4 September 2023.
Minimum Age at Trifecta
The minimum age at Trifecta is 6 years old in the snow, surf and skate arenas, and all children under 15 years old must be accompanied by parents/legal guardians. Only those 15 years old and above can create an account, make purchases and attend sessions on their own. All those under 18 years old will require a parent/legal guardian to sign a waiver form.
