A brand new building with a dining hall and music facilities designed especially for young learners, to a new co-working space for parents, Tanglin Trust School and its community has a lot to look forward to
Tanglin Trust School’s new state-of-the-art building looks set to be super impressive. The new 11-storey building is slated to open in August 2022 and will accommodate almost a quarter of the total floor space on campus. This means lots of new facilities and an expansion of co-curricular activities for Infant, Junior and Senior students, as well as their families to help integrate everyone in Tanglin’s community. If you visit Tanglin Trust School, the new building, affectionally referred to by the Tanglin community as Gate C, will be your first impression of this reputable British international not-for-profit school. Let‘s take a look at what Gate C, will bring the Tanglin students and parents.

New infant spaces
A highlight of the building’s new facilities will be new Infant spaces. Designed with calming and welcoming colours, everything about the new infant facilities has been designed with children in mind. How lucky are these little ones with everything designed to nurture their growth – both socially and academically?

All the tables in the new Infant Dining Hall are circular – all the better for socialising and being inclusive. The new Multi-Purpose Hall will be a flexible space with folding tables and chairs to create events and assemblies for infants. Little ones are excited to have their first Nativity play or dance performance in these welcoming spaces. There will also be two large music classrooms which can double up as small performance halls. The new building will be linked to the Infant School via a bridge to provide easy access for children.
An inclusive community for parents
The Gate C development brings new spaces for Tanglin parents too. There will be:
- New viewing galleries for parents to come together to watch their children practice at the new 50m pool or in the new gymnastics centre.
- A larger Parent Café (pictured in the lead image) and additional lounge areas for parents to connect with one another.
- A new co-working space for parents to have short meetings, or take phone calls, whilst they wait to meet their children – a first for international schools in Singapore.
