One of Singapore’s leading international schools has just unveiled its new state-of-the-art campus. We’ve got all the deets about the all new GESS!
The German European School Singapore (GESS) is growing, mamas!
It’s the dawn of a new era in Singapore for this long-established educational institution as its two existing campuses merge into one new state-of-the-art campus located on Dairy Farm Road.
The exciting groundbreaking ceremony has already taken place, and work is now underway to build a campus to educate and inspire future generations. Together with top designers and architects, staff, parents and pupils have all helped layout the future of the new GESS campus, opening in August 2018.
Not to worry, mama: still in place will be the school’s belief in “giving students roots and wings”, but they’ll now be learning how to fly in exciting facilities like a competition-sized sports field and sports hall, an Olympic-size swimming pool, brand new music and drama performance facilities, design technology studios, and a totally unique European Culture Centre.
Inspired by a European love of nature, the 3.05-hectare site in the lushly gorgeous district near Bukit Timah Nature Reserve provides students with the space and facilities to foster the enquiring and evolving minds of the future.
Currently catering to around 1,500 students of more than 50 nationalities between the ages of 18 months and 18 years, the school plans to grow to 2,000 students by August 2018 when the new campus opens.
Renowned for its language programs, GESS offers two curriculum options: the German Curriculum (with all instruction in German), or an English-speaking IB Curriculum with additional “mother tongue” language options. Admissions are now open for both, mama!
The future of the German European School Singapore means one community under one roof – all unified on a new campus where GESS students learn to be together, forever!
