Hooray! Blue House is Launching Its First-Ever Full Day Programme for Nursery Children

Working parents (and those without family nearby to help out): rejoice! Blue House is introducing more flexible half day or full day programmes plus extra optional music, art and Mandarin classes to suit every unique child’s interests and developmental needs

The truly authentic Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool, Blue House Nursery & International Preschool is launching a brand new Full Day programme for its nursery students (18 months to 3 years old), starting January 2019! The big draw with this new programme is the endless flexibility to suit your child and your family’s needs! Blue House values each child’s uniqueness and their new offering reflects that each child is different and has different interests and needs, both developmental, as well as social, emotional and cognitive.

Half Day or Full Day?

Choose a half day programme (2, 3 or 5 mornings), or a full day programme (2, 3 or 5 full days) and have the option to dip into the Discover programmes of weekly classes covering Art, Music or Mandarin to complement your child’s programme.

Discover Programme: Add-on lessons

If your child isn’t ready for a full day (9am – 3pm) but you’d like to encourage their curiosity of the arts or maybe you sense you have a budding drum player and want to explore where their interest in music will take them, there’s the option to do an extra weekly class per term in Arts, Music or mandarin with the Discover programme.

Art class: Kids will get the chance to learn about Sustainability of Water and the Oceans – using a mix of media they will explore the beauty of the ocean and marine life, effects of pollution and possible solutions of recycling and upcycling.

Music class: Get to grips with rhythm through outdoor games and word games, building percussion instrument and having fun with dance along the way.

Mandarin class: Children will learn Mandarin in connection to Chinese heritage, the diverse festivals, and traditional art forms like shadow puppetry and Peking opera!

Flexibility and choices

1. Parents will be glad to know of the flexible drop-off, which spans half an hour from 8:30-9am (no more rushing breakfast or waiting by the gates for the doors to open before zooming off to work!)
2. If your child is ready, there’s a full day programme for children from 18 months to 3 years old, which includes lunch period and nap/rest time
3. Parents can choose to enrol their child for 2, 3 or 5 mornings from 9am – 12pm, or 2, 3 or 5 full days from 9am to 3pm
4. Have the option to add on extra classes in music, art and Mandarin with the Discover programme.
