Environmentally friendly, child-safe, and available in 45 gorgeous colour choices, Frenchic Paint is perfect for your next DIY project, mama!

Ok, I’ll admit it: my 5 ½ year old was still in her cot bed! No sides  – but nonetheless, quite small! But she seemed so cute in it, and when I looked around I was struggling to find a nice, good quality option that wasn’t going to cost $3,000+.

Then I managed to get a really good deal on an ex-display Lit Cabine bed. Perfect – my daughter loved it – but it really need a lick of paint. Clearly most of the options at the DIY stores were cheap heavy gloss full of toxins and horrible smells. Then I came across Frenchic Paint.

Frenchic Paint is an all-natural, environmentally friendly chalk and mineral furniture paint. It comes in 45 different colours, too!

As there are no volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) or solvents added to the paint, it is totally safe to use on children’s furniture. Rigourous tests and trials mean the paint is EN:71-3 certified and is child safe.

And even more importantly, its super easy to use! Obsessed with a pink palace, ‘Sweetheart‘ was the chosen colour for our new princess bed. It’s not in the Lazy Range (which has added wax and means you don’t need to rub the paint down afterwards), but it was a dream to apply:

Step 1: We washed down the bed with some water and a sponge. Only a touch of water was enough to clean the surface.

Step 2: Once dry, we lightly sanded the bed. This isn’t always necessary, it’s just that this bed was big and had a number of lumps and bumps!

Step 3: Get on with the painting. I strongly recommend using Frenchic’s brushes 70% natural bristle and 30% synthetic bristle, they provide the best possible mix for superior chalk paint pick-up.

Step 4:  Apply the finishing coat (not always needed if using the Lazy Range!)

Its as simple as that!  I couldn’t be happier with the end result, and my daughter is loving her new dream bed! I highly recommend Frenchic Paint for transforming any piece of furniture, whether you’re into that shabby chic, retro or industrial look. It’s high quality without any of the nasties!!
