Outdoor Classroom Day at Canadian International School

Held at the Tanjong Katong campus on the East Coast, Outdoor Classroom Day on 18 May is the perfect opportunity for parents to find out more about why outdoor learning is so important for kids, what it looks like at CIS, and why their outdoor learning environments are so special! Throughout the morning there will be lots of fun and educational outdoor activities for young children, plus CIS’s school leadership team will be on hand to give campus tours and answer any questions you might have about their outdoor learning programme, play-based Kindergarten and Primary School curriculum. The Best of You Exhibition 2017

Best described as a space of reflection to unite our communities through the sharing of personal stories and experiences, The Best of You hopes to challenge stereotypes and break down barriers between communities that are often excluded from mainstream society. Visit the exhibition at Tan Tock Seng Hospital to read and experience stories alongside works by artists inspired by the movement and various activities. You can look forward to a series of activities like leather crafting workshops conducted by artisans with special needs, and even live illustrations!

Asian Festival of Children’s Content

With a mix of professional conferences, seminars, masterclasses, workshops, evenings events, and an awesome book fair, the AFCC is a unique event that provides an opportunity for people from all walks of life to meet, learn, develop their craft, and more. The 5-day festival will feature over 100 local and international speakers including authors, illustrators, publishers, and industry professionals. Parents Forum is an entire day of learning for mamas and dads to nurture early learning and bilingualism at home. Also look out for the free activities and programmes happening daily!

ION Art Gallery – Storytelling, toy costume making and drama workshop for kids
