**Update — edit lifestyle have now moved to Tudor Court next to Tanglin Mall. Please check the updated address on their website here!**
I have a bit of a vested interest in hoping that Phoenix Park continues to take off and gets more and more interesting tenants — it’s one of the only places I can comfortably walk to from my apartment without needing to hop on the MRT or grab a taxi! So, selfishly I was excited to go and check out edit lifestyle who have recently opened a little showroom next to White Lodge in Phoenix Park’s grounds. Singapore stylistas will already be familiar with edit, who have been running pop-up shops for years now at Tanjong Beach Club and other chic venues, but this is their first shot at a stand-alone store, and you won’t be disappointed.
The light, airy space immediately puts you in a beachy, holiday mood, and their carefully curated selection of brands, spanning bikinis, coverups and beach bags, but also menswear, homewares and children’s clothes, means that this is the ideal place to pop into not only to treat yourself to a little something for the weekend, but also to grab a gift for a stylish buddy or even your hubby for that matter! We met glam co-owner Kelly (the other founder is Florence), a mama to two boys herself, and she guided us through the covetable array of goodies, including their house brand, ALBA.
Sassy Mama’s must-haves among the pieces? Well, we can’t get enough of Melissa Odabash’s sexy swimsuits, chunky Mawi jewellery, their new-arrival African necklaces (instant outfit update!) and Hat of Cain panamas. Chuck them all in one of their funky neon beach bags, which helpfully zip down into a flat pouch for easy packing, and your holiday wardrobe is sorted. Prices aren’t exactly cheap, but they’re highly competitive thanks to the eagle eyes of the savvy owners, and for the kind of standout pieces that will totally revitalise you’re look, it’s worth it.
What else to check out in Phoenix Park? Well, we all already know about family fave Spruce, but if you’re looking for a yummy, healthy lunch (probably sans kiddos) you have to hit up Commune Bistro for one of their delicious salads — perfect to help you look hot in that bikini you just bought from edit lifestyle!
