Ash & Elm: Sunday Champagne Brunch

We were already huge fans of the compact, kid-friendly Sunday Brunch at Ash & Elm, now they’ve taken things up a notch with a newly revamped menu!

I love a good Sunday Brunch. So does the whole family; they’ve come to be a real treat that we all look forward to a couple of times a year. We’ve now been to our fair share and I now have a real taste for what I look for in a good brunch. Here is my tick list and how the all-new Sunday Champagne Brunch menu at Ash & Elm at The InterContinental Singapore stacked up:

Sunday Champagne Brunch at Ash & Elm

Good Champagne: I am a massive fan of Perrier–Jouet Belle Epoque; it’s not too sweet and super crisp. It’s a perfect choice, so of course the free-flow here rates highly with me!

Hubby’s Favourite Feature: The fab Bloody Mary cart that kept coming around!

Seafood Raw Bar at Ash & Elm's Sunday Champagne Brunch

Essential Brunch Dishes: My big 5: Good selection of seafood; a Sushi/Sashimi station; Roast Beef; Good cheese selection and quality cold meats. Whilst the Intercontinental is a smaller, cosier affair – it totally delivers all these categories in spades!

Something Extra: What sets this Brunch apart from all the other hotel brunches in Singapore? I loved Ash & Elm’s new a la minute tasting platters, which really put the “breakfast favourites” element back into Brunch. Served tableside, it’s a yummy selection of small plates showcasing breakfast dishes from around the world. My personal fave was the braised short ribs; other highlights include pan-seared scallops with a lemon parsley pancake, and truffle risotto with parmesan and natural jus!

Kids Corner with Cupcake Decorating at Ash & Elm's Sunday Brunch

Kid-Friendly: I don’t need clowns and fancy magic acts — it’s just nice to have an area where the kids can have a chill or a play post food – and ideally this area is close to the table (I’ve had some experiences where they were two floors away)!

The little room at the InterContinental was perfecto — right next to the table with a small kids buffet, a movie, some colouring and some cupcakes to decorate!

All in all it was a fabulous way to spend a Sunday with the fam! I would highly recommend Ash & Elm’s brunch, mamas!

Sunday Champagne Brunch at Ash & Elm is available every Sunday from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, and is priced from $98 per adult.
