Tel: (+65) 6776 6118
Red Sparrow in Dempsey is decorated with brightly coloured lanterns, a trishaw in the corner of the restaurant and a mural of Vietnamese city street life on the back wall. The menu shows off a range of Vietnamese dishes from the staples of fresh rice paper rolls with prawns ($12) to green papaya salad with grilled tiger prawns ($16) and a variety of Banh Xeo dishes ($14-16) - the traditional rice flour crepe with various fillings all crackly edged and begging…

RISE

Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Lobby Tower 1, 10 Bayfront Avenue, Singapore 018956
6688 5525
There are tons of dining options within the Marina Bay Sands integrated resort, so it's easy to dismiss the hotel’s international buffet restaurant as a worthy choice. However, if you have little diners in tow, the mind boggling variety of eats at RISE will fill up even the fussiest little belly. We sampled their dinner buffet spread (Daily, 6:30-10:30pm) and found several things the kids will love. Mamas, here is a meal you will actually be able to eat while the…

Blu Kouzina

Block 10 Dempsey Road, #01-21, Singapore 247700
(+65) 6875 0872
This longtime favourite Greek restaurant recently moved to airy digs on Dempsey Hill, but they're still packing in the crowds so reservations are a must, particularly on weekends. Menu highlights include their dips (particularly baba ghanoush, hummus and organic 3-bean), along with the spanakopita and lamb dishes. Their oven-fresh pita bread and pricey-but-delicious Greek Salad are also musts.

For those of you wondering where Chef Ivan Brehm (formerly from Michelin-starred Bacchanalia) disappeared to, you will be pleased to know he has resurfaced as Chef-Owner of  Nouri (Unlisted Collection’s latest restaurant after hot fave Audace). A chef’s table sits at the centre of the restaurant, which serves “crossroads cuisine” - cooking that transcends cultural boundaries. Dinner set menus are 5 or 7 courses, while lunch sets consist of 5 courses (not available Mondays).
