Wondering how to minimise the kiddos’ screen time when school’s out for year-end holidays? Consider one of Capitol Theatre’s exciting new music, dance and theatre holiday programmes!
Mention the Capitol Theatre and you’ll probably recognise it as one of Singapore’s popular architectural and historical gems. But this Christmas, Capitol Theatre is getting extra kid-friendly by opening its doors for a series of music, dance and theatre school holiday programmes for kids, teens and families, from 21 November to 23 December 2020.
The series is called “School Holiday Performing Arts Workshops at Capitol Theatre” and is a part of Capitol Singapore’s and CHIJMES’ collaborative Christmas celebrations. So what can you expect? For starters, some of the island’s top performing arts schools, Believer Music, Académie of Stars, Recognize! Studios, and Singapore Ballet Academy have come together to stage more than 40 music, dance and theatre workshops – all exclusively held at Capitol Theatre. Not only are there a wide variety of options for kids, teens, adults, and parent-child pairs, but these workshops are also the only school holiday programmes in Singapore to take place at an actual performing arts space. How’s that for impressive? All workshop participants will also get to enjoy a 10% discount on selected menus from restaurants within The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore and the Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski.
Need a hand picking out a fun workshop? Here are some of our faves. Don’t forget to share your kid’s school holiday programme snaps on IG with #CapitolHolidayWorkshops.
