Opening 11 October, the NEW Dinosaurs | Extinctions | Us exhibition at Science Centre Singapore is home to the largest-ever 40-metre-long dinosaur in the country, 60 life-sized models, 33 real fossils and immersive storytelling.
There’s a brand new dinosaur exhibition in Singapore, and it’s got over 3,000 square metres of prehistoric fun to explore. The new Dinosaurs | Extinctions | Us exhibition at Science Centre Singapore has landed in Singapore with 60 full-scale models and 33 rare fossils. The exhibition–co-organised by the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum–comprises two globally-acclaimed experiences: Dinosaurs of Patagonia and Six Extinctions, and it’s open to the public on 11 October. Here’s what you can expect at their largest-ever exhibition to date:
A massive 40-metre-long dino, real fossils & more

Nothing delights a dino-lover more than life-sized replicas, dino skeletons and real fossils. That’s what you’ll get at ‘Dinosaurs of Patagonia’. What’s Patagonia, you might be wondering? Ancient Patagonia (now known as the Southern tip of South America) is basically known as a hotspot for fossil discoveries.

Over here, you can get an up-close look at 13 fascinating dinosaur species, including the humongous Patagotitan mayorum that measures a whopping 40 metres long–that’s longer than a blue whale! The Patagotitan mayorum happens to be one of the largest dinosaurs to have been discovered, and, fun fact: it’s the first time the public will get to see a replica along with a selection of its fossils in Singapore. The stories of these ancient beings will all be brought to life via immersive storytelling that’s suitable for all ages.

Meet the largest T-rex ever found at ‘Six Extinctions’

The topic of extinction is both harrowing and fascinating, and it’s a great way for us to learn about our role in Earth’s future. At ‘Six Extinctions’, you’ll get to deep dive into the ‘Big Five’ mass extinctions of our planet, and what is now known as the ongoing ‘Sixth Mass Extinction’.

There are 30 displays for some meaningful reflections on climate and extinction, including Singapore’s very own extinction story. Find out more about creatures such as the cream-coloured giant squirrel and rufous-collared kingfisher that used to roam our lands. On a more light-hearted note, ‘Six Extinctions’ is where you’ll get to meet “Scotty”, the largest Tyrannosaurus rex ever to be discovered!

Ready for an eye-opening dino experience? Tickets are available at $25.90 for children and $29.90 for adults, inclusive of complimentary admission to Science Centre Singapore for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents. Get your tickets here.
