You can smell them as you walk down the alleys of Far East Square. The recipe is a closely guarded secret by the husband and wife team, after many late nights of doughnut-making. They settled on an 18-hour brioche dough and the results are phenomenal. The simple Plain Glazed doughnut ($3.80) gets our vote but there’s also Peanut Butter & Jelly ($4.20), Caramelised Biscuit ($4.20) and many more besides. Korio also does sandwiches on sourdough bread and coffee. For a little foodporn try the Grilled Cheese with caramelised onions ($8) made with cheddar and American cheese squares for the cheese melt shot, or there’s the Breakfast Sammy with spam ($9), the Grilled Halloumi ($13), and other daily specials. Those doughnuts though….
