Looking for a kids’ playground in the city? Check out Jubilee Park playground at Fort Canning Park, one of the only playgrounds in River Valley!

Tucked away amidst the heritage-listed trees at Fort Canning Park, the sprawling Jubilee Park playground is a hit with kiddos and mums who want a relaxing day out. Set on the western slopes of Fort Canning Park, Jubilee Park was once home to various recreational buildings. These days, this River Valley playground space has been restored into a family-friendly area with a wonderful biophilic play garden. You’ll need plenty of sunblock to explore Jubilee Park, as there isn’t any shelter from the sun. That’s why we suggest you plan playdates or weekends out with the fam in the mornings, as this free outdoor playground is shaded until almost 10am, or later on in the early evenings.

Once they’ve had their fill of the slides, climbing nets and sandpits at Jubilee Park, our kids love to scour the adjacent slopes for shiny saga seeds and chase the local roosters. It’s worth strolling around Fort Canning Park, too, as there are plenty of historic structures, great views from the top, stunning gardens and even a lighthouse to explore. Keep scrolling to find out everything there is to see and do at Jubilee Park!

Multiple swing sets

Kids will love the round of swings, situated over a sandy circle at Jubilee Park. A variety of sizes and styles suit all ages, and a separate set of inclusive swings are located next to this, which allows wheelchair users to swing, too.

Log scramble & sand pits

A log scramble is great for climbing and balancing, and includes log and rock stepping stones so the younger ones can also get involved. Woodchips soften the landing for those who are wobblier on their feet. Nearby, whole families can climb onto the hydraulic see-saws, and parents and helpers can utilise the many benches while kids dig in the sand (BYO bucket and spade!).

Slides for toddlers and big kids

There’s a cute little toddler slide further towards the Clarke Quay end of Jubilee Park that’s perfect for the 2-year-old set. For the bigger kids, there are long slides built into the natural slope of the park (just watch out for slide burn – ouch!).

Find the treehouse

A “treehouse” can be accessed by a rope bridge and makes a fun lookout point for kids.

Climbing nets

There is a large expanse of grass for running around and burning off any residual energy! Large climbing nets allow kids to feel like Spiderman and are suspended over colourful plants.

NB: These climbing nets have since been modified and kids can no longer climb up the higher sections.
