Wonderfruit Festival – the earthy kid-friendly music festival in Thailand is back for its fourth year

Thailand’s Wonderfruit is different to your average music fest. Built to be all-encompassing, the festival dabbles in arts, music, family activities, farm to feast experiences, talks and workshops, as well as wellness and adventure. It truly has something for everyone and the great thing is that you can bring your little darlings too.

Music

Back for its fourth edition, Wonderfruit is on from Thursday, 14 December to Sunday, 17 December, 2017. It boasts music headliners such as Yeasayer, Wild Beasts, Nerve, Singto Numchok, Craig Richards and Matt Sassari. There are new names on the circuit too: Rapper Curtismith from the Philippines and reggae musos Gapi and the Thai Dub Mafia from Thailand.

So what’s on offer apart from wonder beats?

Think sustainable living with home comforts, foodie offerings and family friendly activities. Look out for tai chi, kundalini, sound healing plus plenty of workshops and inspirational talks on positive ethos and the environment including one on a subject we wrote about recently – Zero Waste by guru Bea Johnson plus a whole camp dedicated to kids’ stuff.

Kid Friendly Activities: Camp Wonder

Kids are encouraged to get mucky and muddy – getting a look into a bug’s life, connecting with nature as they join Thailand Little Farmers or cool off on the slippery slidey muddy mudslide! There’s arts, crafts, body painting and messy, creative play at the Wonder Wall plus kids’ yoga, bowling and stand-up paddleboarding to keep ‘em active while storytelling sessions and puppet shows will take them on a journey of discovery and self-expression.

Clean Eats

Foodies will be happy too as Wonderfruit has plenty of foodie offerings from cook stations to clean eat food trucks offering pad thai with juicy tiger prawns, organic pork sausages or vegan and vegetarian alternatives including tofu dishes made from non-GMO soybeans from Chiangmai.

Today is Baby Loss Remembrance Day. To all the mamas who have loved and lost, we stand with you remembering the lives of your babies lost in pregnancy or soon after birth. Our 'That Mama' Aivonne Chong opens her heart up to us on losing two of her babies in a topic not often discussed - swip up to read her candid interview. Our thoughts are with you mamas.
