Want to try something different? From Parkour to table tennis, we’ve rounded up some of the coolest kids sports activities in Singapore (along with an exclusive discount)!
Like we mentioned last week, mamas, kids + sports makes for a winning combination. Not only do sports help them burn off excess energy and have fun, they’re also proven to help with focus, self-esteem, and emotional control. So naturally we wanted to tell you about all the best kids sports programmes in Singapore! From climbing, to Parkour, to martial arts and table tennis, here’s the lowdown on our fave sports activities for littlies! And for even more, be sure to check out our roundups on the best soccer, swimming, and gymnastics schools in Singapore!
Run by a mama of three who’s also a professional Netball player and early childhood educator, Kinetic Kids offers tailor-made programmes to give little ones aged 2-6 the basic movements that will help them develop fundamental sports skills later on. They also emphasise social and emotional skills and sportsmanship qualities, in a nurturing environment that’s perfect for littlies. We love that they hold all their classes outdoors in a variety of beautiful locales around Singers, as one of their core beliefs is that fresh air and sunshine will help kiddos develop better spatial awareness and visual perception skills.

Superfly Monkey Dragons
Besides having a ridiculously cool and memorable name, this unique company teaches kids the basic fundamentals of Parkour, the French training discipline geared toward moving through obstacles as quickly and efficiently as possible. Ever seen guys seemingly walk on walls or dive and roll off tall buildings? They were probably doing Parkour! Regular classes are generally geared toward ages 13 & up, but we love the hourlong Family Parkour class that lets parents and kids as young as 3 or 4 practice skills together, with a focus on strengthening the body and developing control, coordination and balance to master the precise movements.
Age: 3 & up (younger children are welcome to give it a try if parents think they’re ready)
Where: Family Parkour is at Somerset Skate Park & Dhoby Ghaut Exit B. Click here for a full list of timings and locations.

Is anyone else amazed by their toddler’s fearless climbing abilities? Why not put them to good use in a safe, supervised environment at this absolutely amazing indoor climbing wall that’s 8 metres high with a total of 28 rotating climbing lanes? Kiddos can learn the basics in monthly 4-session climbing workshops, or can drop in to give the wall a try on their own as long as they engage a belayer. Singapore Table Tennis Association
Anyone who’s spent five minutes in Asia knows this is not the sport of beer halls or basement rec rooms, but rather a fiercely competitive point of national pride in Singapore (also, conveniently, played indoors in air-conditioned comfort). Perhaps you can set your little one on the road to Olympic glory, too, with 10-session “Learn to Play” classes for beginners that include fundamentals like serving, basic footwork, blocks and defence and – our personal favourite – “Feel the Bounce”.
