Looking for some exciting weekend entertainment, mama? Universal Studios Singapore has just introduced its newest roller coaster, Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey, and it’s already making waves with the younger set.
The world’s first suspended Puss In Boots roller coaster, the ride took more than two years to design, engineer and produce. Reaching a maximum speed of 36km/hour, guests will experience anti-gravity sensations in four different zones throughout the ride as they travel in “magical flying machines”.
Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey stars one of the most popular characters from the Shrek franchise (sadly, Antonio Banderas will not be there to greet you, so far as we can tell). Featuring 12 different scenes and 23 animatronic characters, the 2-minute ride takes guests on a journey through a giant castle entwined with a beanstalk, all in search of magical golden eggs.
This latest roller coaster was introduced as part of Universal Studios Singapore’s fifth anniversary celebration. Located in the “Far Far Away” zone, it’s a bit less scary for little ones compared to the park’s other thrill rides, “Revenge of the Mummy” and “Transformers: The Ride”, but will make them feel more like big kids than the junior coaster, “Enchanted Airways”. Just bear in mind the minimum height to ride Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey is 100cm (or 122cm unaccompanied), mama!
And from now through May 6 (or while stocks last), the park is offering a One-Day Pass for $68, inclusive of a Free Combo Meal worth up to S$16 and surprise treats, saving up to $22 off regular prices! Click here for more info.
We can’t promise the lines will move quickly, but we’re pretty sure your kiddos will have a MEOW-nificent time!
