Off-the-shelf products not working on your bub’s rash, mama? A baby’s skin is thinner, more fragile and sensitive than any adult’s, so choosing natural, plant-based skincare ingredients is safer on their delicate skin. Started by a Singaporean mama, A for Apothecary‘s gentle line of clean, honest, 100% pure and organic baby skincare is made with the finest natural botanicals.
Ingredients like oat lipid oil, calendula extracts, Nilotica East African shea butter and raw organic centrifuged coconut oil all help to soothe common dry skin issues and irritated skin caused by nappy rash, cradle cap and mild eczema. All products are handcrafted in small batches to ensure freshness, and are free from nasties like mineral oil, SLS, silicones, PEGs, propylene glycol, parabens, fragrance, and preservatives.

If getting dressed in the morning is a frequent challenge, shift dresses may be your new favourite style, mama. Classic, easy-to-wear and fab for our humid weather, Alana Bree‘s range of shift dresses in bright colours and prints will be your go-to for every school run, lunch date and beach day. Our sister site in Dubai has been telling us about Alana Bree for ages, we’re so psyched that they’re finally here! All their unique designs have been screenprinted by hand on 100% rayon fuijiette crepe, a beautiful fabric that breathes and behaves like silk, but is durable and machine-washable (yaaas!).

As part of the Singapore Bicentennial Commemoration, the National Heritage Board and NParks have created BALIKSG, a new augmented reality (AR) trail that will bring visitors on an immersive journey along the Singapore River and around Fort Canning. Simply download the free BALIKSG app and experience significant events and places in our history for yourselves! These include witnessing the signing of the 1819 treaty at the Padang, listening into a simulated conversation between Sir Stamford Raffles and Major William Farquhar when they set foot on our shores, and revisiting Fort Canning back when it was known as Bukit Larangan and Government Hill. This will make a wonderful companion to checking out the i Light Festival on the same route!
BALIKSG can be downloaded for free through the App Store and Google Play store. Visit www.balik.sg for more information
