If you’ve ever wanted to enjoy the beach without battling the crowds at Sentosa, Punggol Point Park is the place for you! One of the things we love about Singapore is the plethora of parks scattered across our sunny island. Punggol Point Park, located along the Punggol Coast within a 5-minute walk from Punggol Coast MRT, stands out among other parks in Singapore because it is a dreamy coastal park with stunning views of the sea and scrumptious F&B options for everyone. The highlight of Punggol Point Park is the jetty that allows you to venture further out to sea without being on the water–perfect for that IG-worthy pic! For an easy weekend activity with the kids, pack along sand play toys and a picnic mat, then park yourselves at Punggol beach and enjoy the sea breeze. Unlike other parks, Punggol Point Park is also home to The Punggol Settlement, which offers a variety of restaurants for a relaxing date night or a weekend family meal.

Cycle along the PCN at Punggol Point Park

On the weekend, our family loves getting on our bicycles and cycling along the Park Connector Network at Punggol Point Park, which is located along the North Eastern Riverine Loop. Here, you can enjoy scenic coastal views of Sungei Punggol and the Straits of Johor. The PCN connects Punggol Point Park to Punggol Promeade, Punggol Waterway Park, Sengkang Riverside Park, Kampung Lorong Buangkok, Punggol Park, Sungei Serangoon and Lorong Halus Wetland. You can also rent a bicycle at GoCycling @ Punggol Jetty (Punggol Point Park), so you don’t have to cycle all the way from home!

Keen to travel further out to sea without hopping on a boat? We love that Punggol Point Park features a jetty, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean and perhaps even watch the sunset or sunrise. The Punggol Point Park jetty is also a popular spot for those who enjoy fishing. Simply bring your fishing gear with you and chope a spot at the jetty or one of the designated fishing decks along the Punggol Promenade Nature Walk, then fish away!
Sand play area at Punggol Point Park

When planning an afternoon out at Punggol Point Park, be sure to pack the kids’ sand play toys! There’s a large sand play area located right next to The Punggol Settlement, so the little ones can get creative and enjoy some sensory play.
Kids’ playground behind Punggol Point Park

Though there isn’t a kids’ playground within Punggol Point Park, you’ll find one within a few minutes from the park. Located within the HDB estate, Punggol Point Crown, you’ll find a colourful outdoor playground that’s perfect for younger kids. Let them burn off energy and hone their gross motor skills by climbing, exploring, and whizzing down the slide.
Have a picnic at Punggol beach

If you want to enjoy a seaside view while the kids play with sand, park yourselves at Punggol Beach, where you’ll get plenty of sun, sand and sea! Watch fishermen on the jetty as they reel in their catches from the sea, or simply enjoy the refreshing sea breeze. We recommend bringing a picnic mat to sit comfortably on the sand.
Spot wildlife by the pond

If your little one loves tortoises, be sure to check out the terrapin ponds at Punggol Point Park, which are located next to the sand play area. You’ll find various species of tortoises, including Red-eared Sliders and colourful dragonflies like the Common Scarlet and Yellow-barred Flutterer.

Family tips for visiting Punggol Point Park

- If you live in the North-East and own bicycles, we recommend cycling over so you can explore all parts of Punggol Point Park and the Punggol Coast. If you plan to drive over, bring along the kids’ scooters, so they can whizz down the PCN while you enjoy a relaxing stroll.
- As with all outdoor spaces in Singapore, we recommend visiting during the early morning or late afternoon/early evening to avoid the heat. Pack along plenty of water bottles to stay hydrated while you explore, as there isn’t a water fountain at Punggol Point Park.
- Before exploring Punggol Point Park, be sure to lather on sunscreen to protect your skin from the UV rays!
