Join us for our June Mama Meet Up: Hands-on Play at Playeum!

Kids and mamas alike will want to hightail it to our last mama meet up before summer: a free morning of inspired play at Playeum’s Children’s Centre for Creativity!

Come to our last Mama Meet Up before we break for summer, mama! We’ll truly be leaving on a high note, too, with a fantastic (and FREE) morning of exploration and play at Playeum, the Children’s Centre for Creativity! It’s all happening on Wednesday, 22 June from 9:30 to 11am.

Since it opened last September, Playeum’s been charming kids and parents alike with its emphasis on hands-on play through creative, open-ended artistic experiences that incorporate lots of participative opportunities for kiddos with custom-built installations and technologies. Located in the lush arts precinct of Gillman Barracks, it provides a totally unique and engaging outlet for air-conditioned fun for kids ages 0-12!

The latest exhibition, Hideaway – Creating Nature, offers an immersive environment for children to explore, observe, construct, reflect, innovate and engage with nature and natural materials (check our recent review of the exhibition here). Children will have the opportunity to do all of the following:

• Make their own creature or habitat with clay
• Create a musical instrument out of natural materials
• Build, stack and weave with sticks and strings
• Observe insects and their homes through different lenses
• Explore the dedicated baby and toddler soft play area

Obviously kiddos are apt to get hungry with all that play, which is why we’re so psyched that The Whole Kitchen will be on hand to provide yummy and oh-so-wholesome snacks like Energy Pearls, Granola Cups with fruit and yoghurt, and Banana Vanilla Bean Loaf.

The Whole Kitchen’s nutritious snacks are all made from whole food ingredients, and everything is always gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and otherwise free from additives and preservatives. And by the way, it’s all totally delicious!

And no Mama Meet Up would be complete without our fave ladies from Littleones Photography capturing all the cuteness! As ever, the fab Kate and Emily will be taking snaps that are available for free download from our Facebook page following the event.
