We had a chance to test out the new Baby Jogger City Mini Zip and came away impressed. Find out where you can find this new lightweight, super-foldable stroller in Singapore, mama!
Are you a fan of Baby Jogger strollers, mama (we certainly are!)? The iconic City Mini is already known for its stylish looks and super-easy, one-push “3D fold”. Now it’s come out in a handy lightweight version that’s almost like a plush umbrella stroller: the City Mini Zip.
Weighing in at just 7.2kg, the City Mini Zip is Baby Jogger’s most compact stroller, and the 3D fold means it can fold up to 50% smaller than a regular umbrella stroller! It is SO awesome for travel, mama; all you have to do is press a button on the handle, pull the fold strap and – voila! – it snaps up into quarters. Unfolding is just as easy; in fact, we got a sneak peek at the City Mini Zip back in December and were able to fold, lift, and unfold it all in less than 15 seconds – check out our Instagram for the video!
While it’s as lightweight and convenient as an umbrella stroller, the City Mini Zip is a way more comfortable ride with front wheel suspension and a hand-operated parking brake. It’s loaded with new features including new fabrics, a new chassis, new harness, new basket, new auto lock, new adjustable footrest, and a new basket.
It’s also got a comfier new round handle ideal for one-handed steering. Other kitted out features include a five-point harness, a surprisingly spacious under seat basket, a handy seat back storage pouch and – so clutch for those early-morning walks – it comes standard with a drink holder!
It’s also got a large multi-position, UPF 50+ sun canopy with three large folds – way swankier than what you’d see on any umbrella stroller, and perfect for protecting little ones or letting them catch some shut-eye. Along those lines, the City Mini Zip has a near flat position recline, making it suitable from birth all the way up to 25kgs. When we saw the stroller we loved how the seat can recline at any angle between upright and lie flat, not to mention the seat back vent for air circulation – so key in Singapore.
Because convenience is clearly the name of the game here, it’s compatible with heaps of car seats, including the Maxi Cosi Mico and Titan, the Peg Perego Viaggio, the Nuna Pipa and the Chicco Fit (all using the car seat adapter).
The City Mini Zip is light enough for travel and, well, zipping around town with ease, but it’s also loaded with features that make long outings comfortable and a total breeze. Best of all, it’s competitively priced at $479; check it out for yourself at Mothercare or Motherswork, mama!
Having tried out the City Mini Zip ourselves, we can definitely give it high marks for looks, functionality and ease of use. It is so lightweight but feels like any other awesome Baby Jogger stroller. It truly strolls big, and folds small, mama!
