The long school holidays are almost here. As well as wondering where 2017 went, we’ve been contemplating how to fill the school break with productive activities. Luckily for us, the British Council Singapore has the perfect solution.
The British Council Winter Study Camp, which runs from Monday, 8 January to Friday, 26 January, 2018, is designed to give your child more confidence with their English communication skills whilst improving their grammar and vocabulary, within a safe, fun and supportive environment.
Camp Activities
If you’re imagining tedious text-book learning, mama, prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Students will explore different genres of English ranging from poetry to storytelling or presenting the news, all in English. They may be investigating strange events in history, exploring the world of advertising, designing a super hero… or even debating current headlines. Things have certainly moved on since our school language classes!
Modules for all levels
There are three modules on offer, aimed at both primary and secondary levels. The programme is perfect for children aged 6-15, with any level of English. And because each module is self-contained, students can take one or all of them. Kids get a certificate of completion after the end of the course – a proud moment for junior and one that will be great for boosting your kids’ confidence.
Easy access
Their central location, at Toa Payoh Centre, makes The British Council camp super convenient to get to; and it’s reasonably priced at $736. What’s more, the timing of 9am to 1pm means you can still have quality time with your children before they head back to school in the New Year.
