Father’s Day is nearly here (mark it down mamas — June 15!) and that can only mean one thing — it’s time to celebrate the papas! If you’re lacking inspiration though on what exactly to do with the hubstar, we’ve got it covered, with our 10 of the Best for Papa round up. From the best new threads, to the perfect pressie, and even the best spot for a bit o’ brunching with the fam… all you need to do is pick up the phone and start making those bookings mama!

1. The Best New Threads…
We know it might be a tad clichéd to assume that every dad needs a new shirt, but how can we resist when it’s an impeccably made formal shirt from ButtonNStitch? We can’t! Made from only the finest fabrics, and tailored with meticulous attention to detail, dad will look dapper in his new dress shirts (and you can bask in the glory of another brilliant shopping find mama!).

2. The Best Champagne Brunch…
We’ve recently fallen head over heels for the sumptuous Sunday champagne brunch feast at Edge Pan Pacific Hotel and we know papa will love it too! From 12 to 4pm dad (and you too of course mama!) will be able to chow down on a range of food goodies from any of their 7 live cooking stations and wash it all down with free-flow Veuve Clicquot. We’d definitely recommend making a scheduled stop for the fresh Boston lobster, Duck Ravioli in Truffle Sauce, Wagyu Beef Steak, and the chocolate fountain for the perfect sweet finish… afternoon nap guaranteed!

Available every Sunday from 12 to 4pm, $158++ per adult, $98++ per teen (12 to 17), $49 children (7 to 11), kids 6 and under eat free

3. The Best Man’s Dinner…
For committed carnivores like our men folk tend to be, it’s certainly worth booking a table at Morton’s The Steakhouse. Their Father’s Day spread features He-Man favourites like New York Strip Steak, Cajun Ribeye Steak, Baked Five Onion Soup, and Roast Potatoes, with wickedly sinful Hot Chocolate Cake to finish. Make sure he wears his loose pants mama because he won’t be leaving hungry!

Available on 15 June 2014, priced at $125 per person

4. The Best Pampering Spot for Papa…

Take a step back in time and send papa to Truefitt & Hill for the finest (and the fanciest) in male pampering. These guys have been looking after blokes in Singapore for ages and are well known for their old-school barbershop. Book the man in for a hot lather shave, a haircut, a shoe shine, a male mani/pedi or a massage (they’ve even got a bar if he fancies a drink during maintenance!) and let him revel in a few hours to himself to relax and unwind.

5. The Best Grooming Salon…
If dad is looking a bit rough around the edges, then send him to We Need a Hero — it’s the ultimate grooming salon for men in Singers! In the hipster ‘hood of Tiong Bahru, this too-cool-for-school salon can help your hubby put his best face forward with a treatment menu that features traditional wet shaves, eyebrow maintenance, a bit o’ waxing and haircuts. Send him for the afternoon and reap the rewards of a schmick looking husband afterwards!

6. The Best Family Bonding Activity…
We might be rolling out this one again mama, but that’s only because we have so much fun when we head to Tanjong Beach Club with our brood (plus we think it’s a fab place to spend some quality bonding time with dad!). Head here for a chilled vibe, a splash in the swimming pool, a bit of sandcastle building with the kiddos, plus some munching on their delish bites (cocktails definitely recommended!) but just make sure you sneak out early though before the cool crowd descend in the afternoon.

7. The Best Place to Send Him on His Own…
It might not be a session on a pro golf circuit (he can only dream!), but we’re guessing your hubstar would still be pretty chuffed with a membership at Urban Fairways — the indoor golf club in the heart of the city. With 50 world-class golf courses to pick from, and the all-important 19th hole (the bar!), it’s a nice way for papa to chill out sans kids.

168 Robinson Road, #01-07 Ground Floor at Capital Tower, Singapore 068912

8. The Best Drinking Spot…
Newbie in town, the Manhattan bar at the Regent Singapore, is a 19th century New York styled grand hotel bar of yesteryear where gentleman sat and admired their whiskies in hand… and it’s the ideal spot to sidle up to the bar with dad and indulge in a whisky or two. With bespoke cocktails their specialty (even the ice is taken super seriously here — it’s hand cut in different shapes to complement each drink) you’ll feel all pre-kids cool again as you and your other half spend some alone time together in this fabulous bar.

Their independently crafted goods are perfect for digital junkies, and include iPad, iPhone, iPod and Macbook covers crafted in various textiles, and sewn with such attention to detail to ensure a snug (and chic) fit for his beloved gadgets.
