We love heading to Tanglin Mall thanks to the boutique brands, good quality toy shops, great cafes, places to get hair and nails done plus all the gourmet food stores! Here are five reasons we are shopping here this festive season

Some days you just want to potter around shops that you don’t usually find on the high street, pick up a special gift or some unusual home decor, kit the kids out (or yourself!) with new clothes then treat the fam to lunch – all in one place. Tanglin Mall ticks all these boxes and more! Thinking of a weekend destination or prepping for your upcoming parties, then why not bring the family here so you can take a selfie at the magnificent 10 metre Christmas Tree outside and admire the Orchard Christmas lights? 1. Quintessential picks

One of the main reasons a shopping trip to Tanglin Mall is always a hit? The unique retailers, quirky brands, and different products you’ll find. Some of our favourite stores include Badger & Fox (#02-43) – a curated collection of different brands – you’ll find a gorgeous gift, artisanal jewellery, home decor and more here. Australian FireFly (#02-24/25) for kaftans and dresses for women and kids, Ocean Paradise (#03-18) for some of the world’s most sought-after ladies’ and kids’ swimwear brands, and White Ginger (#03-04) for a gift (candles and accessories). Then there’s Hanna Lee (#02-01), jewellery that has a designer look but a price tag that won’t break the bank, Shopping at Tiffany’s (#02-03) for multi-label luxury resort wear and maxi dresses, and Simone Irani (#02-28) for stunningly colourful flowy dresses that will have everyone asking “Where did you get that from?”.

There’s plenty for the kiddos at Tanglin Mall too! Look out for The Better Toy Store (#03-13) for award-winning toys, motherswork (#03-15) for baby and kids products, The Children’s Showcase (#03-16A) for high-quality toys and décor, Smiggle ® (#01-19) where kids loooove picking up colourful fun stationery, Kidz Story (#01-09) for toys, games, crafts, and Gifts Greetings (#03-12) for party supplies and toys.

2. Delicious restaurants and chic hangouts

After some shopping you can refuel at one of the many cafes or restaurants at Tanglin Mall. Have coffee or brunch at House of AnLi Bistro (#03-17) or have a family lunch of Greek food or pizza at the stunning Pano Kato (#02-23). Head to YantraDefining Indian Cuisine (#01-28) for upmarket modern Indian cuisine or Patara Fine Thai Cuisine (#03-14) for fine dining Thai. Other kid-friendly spots for an affordable meal include Caffé Beviamo (#02-K1) for pizzas, pasta, pastries and gelato, Nandos (#01-14) for flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken and PERi-PERi sauce, Paul (#01-16) for French artisanal savoury and sweet treats and Starbucks (#01-13).

3. Self-care 101

Dads can get pampered at Will I Shave (#02-16) while mums can get a mani-pedi at Elegant Nails (#01-26) or head to Hera Hair Beauty (#03-08A) for a haircut, make-up services and more. The Mother & Child Centre (#03-11) specialises in prenatal classes and breastfeeding consultations but they also do yoga and massage for pregnant women and new mums too.

4. Gourmet food shopping

If you are a foodie (and in Singapore aren’t we all?) Tanglin Mall stands out as having lots of gourmet grocery spots to pick up something unique and tasty. Scoop Wholefoods Australia (#02-17) offer a wide variety of raw organic and natural wholefoods from freshly made nut butters to nuts, dried fruits and eco-friendly wares. Anjalichocolat (#02-K4) is where to head for artisanal chocolate, Tanglin Market Place (#B1-01) is the gourmet supermarket to stop by for anything you can’t find in your usual supermarket – they stock international brands, condiments, premium-grade meats and cheeses cuts, air-flown groceries, and international wines.
