Free Exhibition: ‘Kerchinggg’ Teaches Good Money Habits Through Art with POSB

Check out the first-of-its-kind Kerchinggg exhibition by POSB and EYEYAH! – kids will learn good spending habits and stand a chance to win a Smart Buddy watch and limited edition watch strap!

With the rise in banking scams these days, you can’t put a price on teaching kids financial literacy and how to be money-savvy from an early age! POSB x EYEYAH! presents Kerchinggg, an exhibition unlike any other where kids can learn all about money through art. Popping up at Bedok Library from 1-24 August 2023, this roving exhibition will be hopping through Singapore’s National Libraries, selected primary schools and public events until the end of the year.

Created in collaboration with homegrown design collective EYEYAH!, Kerchinggg features nine specially designed ATMs that allow kids to see the world of money through art!

Art-splashed ATMs Teach Kids Financial Literacy

The eye-catching ATMs come to life as their exteriors are transformed into canvases that showcase nine essential money topics: Think Before You Shop, Ethical Purchases, Digital Banking Transactions, Charity, Compound Interest, Kakeibo, Password Security, Needs Vs. Wants and Smart Buddy – POSB’s very own smartwatch for seamless digital payments!

Kids can also look forward to fun workshops covering the aforementioned money topics! During the workshop, facilitators will educate kids through interactive worksheets that feature the coolest illustrations and interesting activities that will help kids to understand financial literacy better.

Workshop attendees can receive exclusive stickers and POSB’s money topic magazine, which is an illustrated guide for kids to learn good money habits. Kids can try their hand at completing activities like spot the difference, find the hidden objects, crossword puzzle and read fun facts!

Stand a Chance to Win a Smart Buddy watch and Limited Edition Watch Strap

During the exhibition, kids can stand a chance to bring home their very own Smart Buddy watch with a limited edition watch strap by taking an online quiz available only at the libraries! We love Smart Buddy because it introduces children to contactless payments, and even allows them to set savings goals, collect Smiley Stamps and watch their savings in their linked bank account grow. Parents can set daily allowance limits for their kids to pay digitally via their wearable watch/card and be notified of their spending in real-time. The Smart Buddy watch (and app) has a tracking feature to track your child’s steps, monitor their heart rate and set alerts to remind them to exercise, eat and sleep on time.
