Chinese New Year at SAM

Experience SAM and the Singapore Biennale artworks in new and fun ways as we usher in the year of the Rooster! Enjoy free family-friendly activities such as accessory-making workshops, a photo booth (score some points when you come all dressed in your festive best!), a lion dance performance and more.

River Hongbao Carnival 2017

Look forward to 10 days of fun-filled extravaganza with modern, futuristic elements and a strong local flavour. Larger-than-life lantern displays are colourful and fun, with nightly fireworks and laser displays, intricate handicrafts and performances featuring local and exotic programmes from the region. Satiate your taste buds with more than 40 sumptuous varieties of local and regional delicacies served at the largest outdoor Food Street in Singapore.

Chinatown Chinese New Year Countdown Party

Want to be surrounded by festive cheer on CNY Eve? Usher in the Year of the Rooster TONIGHT with live performances and a rousing countdown celebration with MediaCorp artistes in the heart of Chinatown. Be entertained by the lively performances from a medley of festive songs, skits to interactive games as the countdown party culminates with rousing firecrackers and a spectacular display of fireworks. Just come prepared for crowds, mama!

Wildlife Reserves Singapore ‘Roonar’ New Year

With 2017 being the Year of the Rooster, it’s the perfect time to learn all about the rooster and its fowl family. Head to Singapore Zoo, River Safari, Night Safari and Jurong Bird Park and discover a charismatic assortment of fun facts and all the animals specially decked out in festive cheer for the Rooster Year!

ANDSOFORTH presents Tea Time in Wonderland

The Junior edition of Dinner In Wonderland is here! Hosted in the same immersive set by the very convincing, very delightful and awfully captivating cast, Tea Time in Wonderland is a theatre production for children aged 5 years and up, bringing together immersive storytelling, tea time and activities for all younglings. Kids shows include tea, biscuits, lunch, dessert and the possibility of cake! Expect one “wonderlandified” dining room, four very long tables, 8 actors to play significant characters and plenty of irrational, illogical and nonsensical fun.

When: Saturday, 11 February 2017, 1pm & Saturday, 18 February 2017, 1pm. *Duration will be approximately 1h 30mins
Where: Instructions on how to get into a rabbit hole and necessary guidelines to follow will be sent in your ticket confirmation.
How much: $68 per person, includes a four-course children friendly meal and an immersive theatrical experience.

Thousand Colours in Celebration

Discover art in the heart of the shopping district, mama – Thousand Colours in Celebration is an 8-day public creative art event that features public art-making sessions, dance performances and open dance & art sessions for children. Expect daily art-making sessions with art facilitators from the arts granary school under The Arts Fission Company. One of the art projects – the ‘Wearable Art’ segment – will be incorporated into short dance performances. Try on the Wearable Art pieces and snap fun photos with your kiddos!
