Mindfulness-Based Compassion Cultivation Workshop
This 8-week journey is based on research and aims to help you attend more to the present moment, instead of dwelling on the past or fixating on the future. The practices in this workshop focus on cultivating attention, awareness, compassion, self-compassion, kindness and well-being as a means to developing new habits, and lasting change. Only when we practice self-awareness, are we able to be fully present.

Circle of Security® Parenting™ Program (COSP™)
COSP™ is a program focusing on helping parents to better understand their child’s emotional world, in order to respond to their child’s needs and set limits while enhancing their connection. Shift the focus away from trying to change undesirable behaviours with rewards and punishments, to viewing behaviour as a means of communicating a need. Behind every behaviour there is a need, and through effectively reading your child’s cue, you will be able to focus on meeting those needs.
Based on decades of research, this journey concentrates specifically on:
– Building a strong relationship with your children.
– Understanding their emotional needs.
– Enhancing their self-esteem.
– Supporting their ability to manage emotions.
– Amplifying trust and creating an environment where they feel confident and secure.
The course includes:
• 8 weeks, meeting each week for 2 hours (in-person or online)
• Personal Journal
• Certificate of Attendance
When:
In person: Every Thursday, 4 February – 1 April, 10am – 12pm
Online via Zoom: – Every Monday, 1 February – 29 March, 10am – 12pm
Leaders of the Future – February Holiday Camp
There is a substantial body of evidence showing that children not only learn more, but also live a healthier, happier life when they have the skills and competencies to manage emotions, focus their attention, successfully navigate relationships with peers and adults, and persist in the face of difficulty. Rather than focusing solely on the cognitive domain, promote the development of social and emotional skills by highlighting emotional regulation, relationship skills, and secular mindfulness. These skills not only improve their mental wellness, social skills and well-being, but they could also aid with issues of anxiety and depression in later years. It’s our responsibility to navigate our youth, and provide them with the necessary knowledge and tools to handle experiences more effectively.
• Children will receive posters, a workbook, and other materials to practice the activities at home.
• They will also receive a Certificate of Attendance
The camp is for children aged 6 through 12.
When: 8 – 12 February 2021, 2pm – 5pm daily
