This year’s edition of Children’s Season at the National Museum explores how Singaporeans have overcome difficulties through creativity amidst the current Covid-19 pandemic and over the decades through onsite activities and accessible programmes for families. There are four sub-centres to choose from, and highlights include a two-part programme where kids can visit the museum’s best-loved spaces virtually or onsite, practice mindfulness through fun activities, go on the Get Curious! Gallery tic-tac-toe hunt to learn about the artefacts on display. Exclusive Doraemon Singapore-themed 3D magnet collectibles by Supermama may be redeemed upon completion of the quest. Scan QR codes to listen to bite-sized audio clips about innovation, or bond at home with ondeh-ondeh making classes and a DIY music instrument workshop. Tap into the National Museum’s extensive digital resources, too, which includes e-vites for children to design their own gadgets in Redesign an Artefact and the Be A Creative Toymaker video tutorials.
