Shhh, can you keep a secret? Yeah, us neither! We found a ‘secret spot’ for free-flow wine, food that changes monthly and maybe dancing on the tables for $79++

We just discovered where the party’s at! Enter through the back door of Duxton Plain Park and you’ll chance upon newly launched Hush 20. It’s not your regular secret supper club. It’s more of a pop up concept where the whole experience from decor to what’s for dinner, changes every month. This is the spot to head to when you want fun on speed dial. Looking for somewhere to celebrate a birthday with a group? Hunting down where to go out for dinner and drinks with the girls without having the costs spiral out of control?

Hush 20: Free-flow wine & dinner

Hush 20 has a unique formula. It’s $79++ for dinner and drinks (free-flow red, white or rosé wine as well as beer). Yes, there’s no typo here — it’s free-flow food and booze (though if you aren’t drinking it’s $49++). The food offerings change every month in line with the theme. There’s no real menu, it’s one set offering included in the price (though you can top up on sides).

In the past they’ve brought a taste of Europe to Singapore with free-flow imperial blue mussels and Belgian fries, then one month it was free-flow beef short ribs and pork spare ribs, followed by a month of free-flow roasted chicken, grilled lamb and merguez couscous. In April the theme is “Dragon Boat,” so expect free flow Chinese Hot Pot, beer & wine.

The fun is always free-flow at Hush 20 with the music on high

Wine & cheese — yes please!

We went last month and were treated to free-flow raclette, with a side of charcuterie, boiled potatoes, pickles and bread. Oh, there was plenty of wine flowing all night from 7pm to 10pm (or maybe it was later – it’s hard to recall – wink).

The fun is always free-flow at Hush 20 with the music on high and a real sense of playfulness about the place. It’s super casual, almost a little studenty (fun flashbacks to university days pre-kids). The largely European staff are on hand to offer yet more wine or make sure that shy person in the corner has a go at the spin-the-wheel dare game (that’s all I’m saying!).

It’s an intimate crowd every night as there’s only room for 30 diners. So when mama needs a night out (a big night out), book yourself and your gal pals a table, or book out the whole space. Let your hair down, go a little bit wild! But whatever you do keep it on the hush. Just like us – got it?
