Leeu SG offers handmade artisanal ice cream in small batches. The “Esplanade is an ice cream tart consisting of buttercream icing, a biscuit base, and an ice cream center made with fresh D24 durian. While the other patriotic highlight is The Merlion ice popsicle ($4.80) -- a red-and-white cold treat shaped in as the Merlion and in decked out in our national colours. It’s made with strawberry and vanilla and tastes like strawberry cheesecake .

With a prime position right inside UNESCO World Heritage site Botanic Gardens’ Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden, Little Spot (formerly Food for Tots) is one extremely kid-friendly café! The kids menu has plenty of affordable options for under 10-year-olds – from Yogurt and Fruit bowls ($6) to DIY Beef Burgers ($8), pancakes and babyccinos at $2.50.
