Beauty and The Beast hits the Singapore stage

Show of hands, who else memorised every word of the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack when the original Disney movie premiered in 1991? Great news mamas: now you can sing along with your littlies as the award-winning Broadway smash visits Singapore on its first-ever international tour!

Beauty and the Beast premiered on Broadway in 1994 and went on to become one of the longest-running and highest-grossing productions of all-time. As part of the show’s 20^th Anniversary celebrations, the U.S.-based cast has teamed up with the original Broadway creative team – including the Tony Award-winning costume designer – and will be performing at MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands for a limited engagement starting 21 March, 2015.

The show features favourite tunes from the original film like “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast”, as well as six original songs written just for the theatre production. With a 59-person cast sporting 580 costume pieces, 81 wigs and 350 feet of streamers to send flying over the audience, Beauty and the Beast will delight mamas and munchkins in equal measure!
