If you are looking for a great spot for your next date night with hubby or a girls’ night out, here is a hot tip for a hidden gem, mama: head to Angie’s Oyster Bar in the CBD.

With perfect seafood and beer pairings, $1++ Oysters with every pot or main ordered from 6 to 8pm daily (while stocks last), and a $12 lunch menu, Angie’s is a fab spot for seafood lovers any day of the week. The stunning views from their perch on level 45 of Singapore Land Tower at 50 Raffles Place don’t hurt, either: you get 360 degrees of Marina Bay and the CBD, along with some really killer sunsets.

At Angie’s the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming. You have the choice to sit inside in air conditioned comfort, or sit outside on the breezy deck to watch the sun go down and the Singapore skyline change from day to twinkling night.

The menu is truly first class, from the  seasonal oysters freshly flown in from Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand, to the most perfectly cooked chargrilled Spanish Octopus and Line-caught Halibut, to a crisp Lobster Cobb Salad. The menu is so tantalizing and everything I ate was so delicious I couldn’t possibly recommend one dish over another — you’ll just have to try them all, mama!

In the drinks department, friendly waiters will gladly help you pair your dishes with some very smooth beers from the Lervig (Norway) Craft Beer Tasting Room. They’ve got 8 seasonal craft beers on tap in all, mama, all of which are specially imported for Angie’s and just might be the only Norwegian beers available in Singapore.

In addition to $1++ oysters served daily from 6-8pm (so long as stocks last!), you can also enjoy a Lervig Happy Hour with their White Dog brew on tap for $10++. You won’t go home hungry or disappointed, mama — the view alone will keep you coming back for more.
