Duxton Reserve Singapore is now open for staycations! The 49-guestroom boutique hotel is situated in Tanjong Pagar, within Chinatown where there’s plenty of dining and nightlife. Duxton Reserve Singapore was created within eight sustainably restored 19th-century shophouses and is designed by the renowned British interior designer, Anouska Hempel. You’ll be in for an eclectic, elegant surprise with the borrowed elements from Chinese, Malay and European cultures that are apparent in the hotel’s design. We love the dreamy interiors, although we must admit it’s more romantic than kid-friendly (but that’s not to say the kids won’t have a great time too!). Room rates begin from just $280/night for a Shophouse Room.

Family Setup on Apple Watch is finally available in Singapore (from 9 February 2021)! So that means the Apple Watch experience can extend to kids and older adults (like grandparents) who do not have an iPhone. With Family Setup, Apple Watch can be set up through a parent’s iPhone – you’ll just need an add-on cellular plan from StarHub so that your kiddo has their own Apple ID and phone number. Once your kid has their Apple Watch they can connect with family and friends through phone calls and Messages, follow their own schedule in Calendar, learn to manage tasks with Reminders, play their favourite songs on Apple Music and stay motivated to reach personalised Activity goals. Parents will in return be able to reach their child and identify their location while knowing all personal data is securely encrypted.
Other features to be excited about: Emergency SOS allows access to emergency services, and there’s also a new Schooltime mode in Family Setup that restricts app usage (parents can set a schedule for this) to ensure kids stay focused and attentive while learning.
