Yes, this pizza heaven really does exist and it doesn’t break the bank either! We’re talking about the recently opened The Pizza Collective (TPC), located at the food court area of Bugis +. Brought to you by the good folks of Peperoni Pizza (part of the Les Amis Group), this isn’t a typical restaurant. Instead, this pizzeria’s motto is ‘Pay, Go, Eat’.

At the self-ordering kiosk, diners can choose between a personalised or signature 10.5” pizza at only $12. Choose from any of the 5 set meals ($13-$20), pair up your pizza (or pasta) with a beverage (beer, soft drink, hot beverage), or make it a complete meal by throwing in a salad. To keep things super-efficient, TPC is self-service, including a self-ordering and paying kiosk, personal selection of toppings at the assembly line, and collection of your freshly-baked creation.

Pay at the machine, follow the footsteps to the kitchen pass, give the pizza artist your slip and watch your pizza come to life before you. Or if you’re not in a creative mood, choose from their selection of signature pizzas (also only $12). Popular choices include Rendang Power (red sauce, mozzarella, chicken rending, onion and coriander), and Chor-Lita (white sauce, mozzarella, chorizo and spicy drizzle).

If you’re making your own pie, choose from either the original or herb dough (which is then flattened into a thin crust using the super cool electro-mechanical dough press). Specify your choice of sauce (choose from red, white or “oriental”), and specify your toppings (they’ve got everything from the usual ham, pineapple, onions and mushrooms to zucchini, kimchi, mozzarella balls and chilli padi to chorizo sausage, char siew and beef ball crumble).

Get your cold drinks from the soda dispenser while the pizza cooks up in the traditional stone hearth oven (it takes less time to bake the pizza), and wait for your number to show up on the big screen television. Once ready, come back to the window, choose from a drizzle like olive oil, wasabi aioli or BBQ (although where else can you find a coke drizzle?), finish off with additional parmesan and you’re good to grab a table and dig in or go home with a takeaway box!

TPC also offers attractive sides like oven-baked chicken drumlets ($6 for 6pcs), chicken cocktail sausages with drizzle ($4 for 9pcs) and a mixed salad ($4), so you can enjoy much more than just a pizza.

Got a sweet tooth? TPC boasts two standout signature dessert pizzas with their Apple of my Eye (inspired by the apple pie) and Monkey Business (classic banana-Nutella combination), both of which pair brilliantly with coffee or beer!

Whatever time you crave pizza, it’s the perfect time. And with so much thought behind making every minute count, rest assured, your pizza will be ready and waiting for you in 10 minutes flat! It’s not just fast food that tastes great, it’s highly efficient, too! And it couldn’t be easier! I brought my 8-year-old twins along for the experience, and they were thrilled that the assembly line was low enough for them to oversee the whole process while creating their own pizzas! Doesn’t get better than that for curious little ones!
