If you haven’t already heard mama, French family-owned (and cruelty-free) luxury beauty brand Chantecaille has hit our shores and made themselves a home at Takashimaya! Their latest collection for Fall 2018 features the Lip Veil, a nourishing, weightless, gliding lipstick available in 12 stunning shades. Each lipstick is enriched with Fairwild Standard-certified organic Baobab oil, harvested ethically from Zimbabwe’s 2,000 year-old Baobab trees to hydrate and heal, plus nourishing wild mango butter and argan oil. The collection was created exclusively to support Space For Giants, a conservation non-profit based in Africa committed to protecting the migratory paths of elephants, whose wild spaces are threatened by human encroachment and poaching.
We’re in love with this lipstick’s incredible formula! Did we mention how beautiful the packaging is? The magnetic case, elephant illustration and signature deep amethyst shade will be a standout on your vanity.

Coopervision may have just found a solution to myopia in children. The MiSight 1 day contact lens is the world’s first soft daily disposable contact lens proven to significantly slow the progression of myopia (or nearsightedness) in children! The contact lenses are suitable for wear right at the onset of myopia, allowing children to see clearly while slowing their myopia progression and eyeball growth. Skeptical, mama? The impact of soft contact lens on reducing the progression of myopia is backed by multi-year study data. The three-year findings revealed that:
- Children wearing MiSight 1 day had 59% less myopia progression and 52% less elongation of the eyeball than those wearing a single-vision 1-day lens;
- 90% of children could insert and remove MiSight 1 day contact lenses on their own
MiSight 1 day is designed to offer ease of use to children and peace of mind for parents. In the three-year study, 9 out of 10 children said they preferred wearing MiSight 1 day contact lenses over wearing their spectacles. Parents in the same study also had a highly positive response, noting their children could mostly manage their lens wear independently. After their children had worn MiSight 1 day contact lenses for three years, all parents rated their children “happy” with the overall experience of wearing contact lenses, including comfort, vision, ease of use, and freedom from spectacles.
Find it: MiSight 1 day is now available at major optical stores and eye clinics at $75 per box (30 daily disposable contact lenses).

Here at Sassy Mama it’s no secret that we’re kind of obsessed with resorts with kids’ clubs. So when we heard about the new upgrades at Amanpuri in Phuket, we had to share! To mark its 30th Anniversary, the luxurious Phuket resort has made significant changes to its grounds with the addition of suspended swimming pools, extensive spa and water sports facilities, and the addition of the new children’s Eco-Discovery Club. The new club features its own nature museum, with terrariums, a craft centre, koi ponds and opportunities to learn about turtle conservation – so important for raising eco-conscious littlies! Another exciting addition is The Hot Spot, a new space that offers programmes for all ages, from outdoor rope-free bouldering to skateboarding on the brand new half-pipe complete with custom-built skateboards. There’s even a chance to be coached by skating pros brought in from California!
Here’s a fun little Easter egg to share with the kids next time you’re in a pinch and need to keep them occupied – did you know you could play games on Google Search just by searching for terms like Pacman or Snake? With Google Search celebrating its 20th Anniversary, it’s interesting to know these games have actually been there all along! Type in terms like Fidget Spinner, Atari Breakout, Pacman, Snake or simply “I’m feeling Curious” and see what you get!
