At HSL great atmosphere and optimal educational results go hand in hand. We aim to have a school where children learn a lot and enjoy coming to school. This is supported on a daily basis by our team of tight knit, enthusiastic and highly motivated teachers, administrative and other support staff. As a Dutch language school with an international dimension, we greatly value creating the best possible climate to live and work in, creating a homey feeling. HSL offers a child friendly, safe and well organized environment, where children are challenged to learn with goal orientation and in cooperation.

Admissions process

Step 1: Formal application.

Submit the completed and signed "Registration Form/ Aanmeldingsformulier HSL", including the following; the 'Student contract'*, the 'Advisory Note'*, the 'admission policy' and 'application form for membership of Hollandse School Limited'.

Also, you must provide a copy of the passport and, if already in your possession, the Foreign Immigration Number (FIN). In case your child has dual or more nationalities and holds more than one passport, please advise us accordingly upon registration.

*Please note: the registration form includes a 'student contract' and an 'advisory note' as required by the 'Ministry of Education in Singapore' (Private Education Act No. 21 of 2009).

Step 2: Educational registration

The Special needs Coordinator requires several forms in order to place your child in a specific grade level/class, like the 'Onderwijskundig inschrijfformulier/Educational Registration Form' and the 'Onderwijskundig rapport*/Educational report' (or OKR) which may be downloaded from our website (please ensure you give the correct group number 'OKR' to the child's current teacher to be completed). In certain cases you may wish to delay informing your child's current teacher about your relocation and we do our best to be understanding. Please inform us of this situation and give us an indication when to expect the educational report.

We can begin placing a child as soon as we have received the following documents in soft copy:

- the educational registration form

- the educational report (or 'onderwijskundig rapport')

In addition we also look forward to receive:

- a copy of the last progress report

- most recent student tracking system and/or test results(e.g. CITO, LVS, KIJK)

- possible assessment results

- the most recent action plan, where applicable

- the medical form

- recent (passport size) photo of the registered student
