Located within ActiveSG Bishan Sport Centre, YouthCreates Bishan Skate Spot spans 300 square metres and features slopes, stairs and railings. Though this skate park is smaller than others in Singapore, many avid skaters love that they can hit the ActiveSG gym after warming up at the skate park. Designed to be more than just a skate park, this spot has quickly become a community hub for teens and young adults to stay active and connect with others through sport. If you or your child is new to skating, this might be the place for you. With gentler slopes and smooth paths, this skate park offers an accessible venue for beginners to start roller skating.

If your child is training for a roller skating competition, this one’s for you! Xtreme SkatePark at East Coast Park is one of two skate parks in Asia that meet international competition standards. Spanning 1.4 hectares, this is one of the largest skate parks in town. We’re floored by the variety of ramps and bowls that can really put your skills to the test. Beginners can cruise on gentle inclines, while pro skaters can hit the 3.6-metre-deep vertical bowl featuring a 90-degree drop for backflips, 360s, 540s and more. Do note that there is no shelter here, so be sure to check the weather before heading down and avoid the midday sun! The closest carpark is at Area F, near Car Park F1.

Looking for a ton of space to practice stunts? Skatepark @ Lakeside Gardens, located within Jurong Lake Gardens, is Singapore’s biggest outdoor skate park. Skaters can put their skills to the test with five skate pods that cater to different skill levels. For beginners, the Learn to Skate Pod features gentler slopes to hone balance and coordination, while the Big Bowl Pod is designed for the pro skaters to practice their flips, twists and tricks. When it rains, you’ll be happy to know that you can zoom straight to the Plaza Pod, a 900-square-metre sheltered skate pod, so you can skate rain or shine. Apart from skating slopes, we love that there’s also a 300-square-metre parkour park with a 3-metre-high bouldering wall–perfect for Spider-Man wannabes.

Pasir Ris Park is one of our favourite spots for a family picnic by the beach. But did you know that there’s also a small skating rink nestled in the park? Though it’s basically an open space with a couple of rails for more advanced moves, this is the place to go if you want to practice skating without the pros zooming by. If you have younger kids, take them to the outdoor playground where they can enjoy sand play, slides and more. This skating rink is located in Area 3, so be sure to park at Carpark D if you plan to drive.

Skate park opening hours: Open 24/7, daily

Singapore Sports Hub is known for hosting concerts by some of the biggest names in the music industry. But did you know that it’s also home to a skate park? Here, you’ll find a 4ft mini ramp, small street obstacles and pipes, where you can practice tricks and stunts. There’s a lot of open space here, and we love that it overlooks the vibrant Kallang area. Conveniently located outside Stadium MRT, this skate park is easily accessible by MRT. When tummies start grumbling, simply head to Kallang Wave Mall for yummy eats or unwind with some window shopping. If you’ve got younger kids, take them to Splash-N-Surf, a kid-friendly water park on level 3 of Kallang Wave Mall, while the older kids knock out a sweaty workout.

Skate park opening hours: 7am – 10pm, daily

6. Somerset Skate Park

Somerset Skate Park is probably one of the most popular spots for skating and skateboarding in Singapore. We love that it’s located in the heart of the city, and it’s easily accessible by MRT. Though the slopes are well-used, they still serve as a convenient place for skaters to meet, mingle and practice their tricks. This classic skate park is on the smaller side, but you’ll still find a handful of slopes with varying inlines. There are also rails, ledges, stairs and ramps for those who really want to show off their tricks. We’d recommend this skate park for those who are intermediate to advanced, as it can get quite crowded during peak hours.

If you live in the East but prefer to avoid the crowd at East Coast Park, check out Tampines Skate Park! Nestled within the Tampines Community Plaza and conveniently located next to Tampines MRT, this skate park in Singapore is a popular choice for beginners. The space is small and houses flat ramps and gentle slopes. There is plenty of lush greenery around this skate park, as well as benches where you can rest while the kids get a sweaty workout! On weekdays, you’ll find inline skating lessons for kids, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for them if you’re looking to enrol your child in an inline skating class. We recommend visiting in the mornings, as there will be plenty of space to practice before the peak hour crowd arrives.

8. Kallang Ice World skating rink

When you need a break from the heat, take the kids to Kallang Ice World! Since this is the only ice skating rink in Singapore, it’s a popular choice for lessons (and a great way to stay cool and active simultaneously!). Since this rink has been around for a while, do note that it gets poor reviews for the quality of ice and rental equipment. So if you’re an avid ice skater, we’d recommend bringing your own ice skates instead. If you’re just trying it out for fun, you can rent skates for $18 per child (aged 5 to 12) and $20 per adult for two hours. Kallang Ice World is also open for private birthday party bookings if you want the entire space to yourself!

Skate park opening hours: 9am – 11:40pm

Kallang Ice World, Leisure Park Kallang, 5 Stadium Walk, Level 3, Singapore 397693

Located in the heart of the city, Trifecta offers facilities for beginners and seasoned pros to train for surfing, skating, snowboarding and skiing. This 4,609 square-metre sports venue has high-tech, state-of-the-art machines that can help to simulate ocean waves and ski slopes. Here, you’ll also find a hybrid skate bowl for surfskating and skateboarding. It’s located right next to the Somerset Skate Park, too, so you’ll have easy access to other obstacles like rails and stairs. While there is a fee to use their indoor facilities, the skate park is completely free!

Skate park opening hours: 9am – 10pm (weekdays) & 8am – 11pm (weekends)

10. Hi Roller skating rink (Closed)

Hi Roller used to be Singapore’s largest indoor skating rink in Pasir Ris for those who want to get serious about inline skating. As an indoor skating rink, they often hosted groovy skate parties with neon lights and funky music. They even offered inline skating lessons for kids and adults who wanted to hone their skating technique. Sadly, Hi Roller closed their doors in August 2025.
