Singapore’s most popular and longest-running creative and performing arts school is looking for enthusiastic actors, singers and dancers for its 2023 season of productions! Train with professionals from the performing arts industry

Established in 1999, Centre Stage School of the Arts provides students with an all-rounded theatre education through their tried and tested programme. Unlike many other performing arts schools, the staff here comprise actors, dancers, musicians and others from the professional world with firsthand knowledge of the industry.

This experience gives teachers a real edge and students are able to pick up practical skills and get a better understanding of the numerous skills needed. Students are also provided with many opportunities to perform in front of live audiences as they stage beloved musicals. Keeping in touch with trends from the UK and the US, Centre Stage School of the Arts has strong connections with industry professionals, welcoming regular visits from professional performers, choreographers and directors from the West End and Broadway.

Creative drama, musical theatre & dance

Offering thoroughly researched and carefully developed courses set within a warm and friendly environment, students are able to feel comfortable here as they learn to develop a strong sense of self. It’s a great opportunity for students to escape their school stresses as they participate in a wide variety of fun and rewarding courses and experience the thrill of performing in front of a live audience!

Centre Stage School of the Arts has an array of interesting classes that kids of all ages are welcome to attend. From little ones who are developing their imaginations and creativity to older kids that are ready to join the performing arts industry as professionals, Centre Stage School of the Arts offers multiple courses that will help each student achieve their potential as they embark on their performing arts journey.


Babies and toddlers: Early Years Creative Play

Tots aged 6 months to 3.5 years old will enjoy the Baby Stage and Play Stage courses – parent-accompanied sessions where kids get a first taste of creativity and imaginative play.

Older kids: Drama, Musical Theatre, and Dance

Older kids can take their pick between Drama, Musical Theatre, and Dance classes with each category offering multiple courses based on each student’s age, preference and ability. Dance classes on offer range from Ballet and Contemporary to Jazz, Boy’s Dance, Hip Hop, Tap and Musical Theatre Dance. Each class has experienced trainers that will teach kids the skills to master the dance all the while making sure classes are fun!

Teens: Acting and Musical Theatre Training

Those in secondary school who are passionate about joining the industry are welcome to apply for The Theatre Workshop. Offering ‘Acting’ and ‘Musical Theatre’ options, this workshop will require students to audition for a place and only those who show the greatest promise will be accepted. Students in this course will further develop their acting and theatre skills and they will also learn more about the production process that goes on backstage.
