Getting the kids to eat their fruit and veg isn’t always easy – but disguise them as ice-lollies or create colourful juices and you’re onto a winner! Dubai-based nutritionist Lama Al Naeli shares a few of her fave combinations.
Berry delight with milk
500 Mls of Milk
2 Handfuls of mixed Berries
2 Handfuls of Grape.
Mix all of the ingredients together – it’s best to do this with a Kenwood Purejuice Slow Press Juicer to get the all the benefits of the ingredients but if not then just blend in a regular blender or juice your fruits and then mix with the milk.

For kids of all ages, water and milk are the best choices, Beside having zero calories, water is a no-sugar thirst quencher. And 1 cup of milk has 300 milligrams of calcium and is rich with protein, so it’s very important to the kids growth physically and mentally and it’s a big contributor to a child’s daily needs.
Here’s how much calcium kids need each day:
Toddlers (Ages 1 to 3 years): 700 milligrams of calcium daily.
Kids (Ages 4 to 8 years): 1000 milligrams, older kids (Ages 9 to 18 years): 1300 milligrams.

Tropical granola lollies:
4 Passions fruit
2 Ripe Bananas
50 gr. Oats
3 Tablespoons Pumpkin seeds
100 gr. Dark Chocolate
100 Ml Cows milk or Camel milk for more benefits.
Mix the Passions fruit, Bananas and milk in Kenwood Purejuice juicer or blender and poured into lolly moulds to freeze overnight.
The next day, melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water and tip the Oats into a bowl.
Remove the lollies from the moulds, dip the tops one at a time in the chocolate, then into the Oats, place on a and eat immediately or freeze until needed.
