Sassy Scoop: Introducing Bright Starts — An Afternoon of Enrichment Magic for Little Ones at Brighton Montessori

When we heard that Brighton Montessori is adding three new enrichment classes to their already fab early years programme, we’ll admit… we were a wee bit excited. There’s already so much to love about this Montessori preschool, and with these new afternoon offerings, we know the school just got a whole lot better!

Staying true to the school’s philosophy of letting little ones learn at their own pace Brighton’s new power-packed afternoon classes give children 3 to 6 years the skills they need to master Phonics, Mathematics or Chinese. Delivered in a fun and personalised way, it’s the perfect way to make the best use of your little one’s afternoons (and you don’t need to be enrolled in their main school programme for your kids to join in either!).

Magical Mandarin
Infusing Chinese learning with a healthy dose of fun, kiddos will grasp the basics of vocabulary and Hanyu Pinyin, while putting their new skills to good use with regular story telling and speech and drama activities. Designed with the Primary One Mandarin curriculum in mind, your little ones will be fluent in no time!

Marvelous Maths
Keeping the boring worksheets at bay, Brighton’s new maths programme uses the school’s Montessori equipment – items like golden beads and number rods — to get littlies up to speed on their maths basics. It’s all fun and games as little learners get a handle on the value system, as well as addition and subtraction.

Fun with Phonics
Making language learning enjoyable, tinies will master the building blocks of the English language with loads of time spent learning to spell, blending words and honing comprehension skills. All you have to do mama is sit back and watch them develop strong reading skills and craft sentences like never before!
