Ready to live the sweet life, mama? Head to Dolce Vita at the Mandarin Oriental for some truly delectable Italian cuisine

On the fifth floor of the fabulous Mandarin Oriental Singapore, nestled next to the roof top pool is the lovely Dolce Vita, a modern Italian restaurant.

Dolce Vita’s views of MBS and Marina Bay really are outstanding and make a perfect backdrop for the elegant dining occasion that the restaurant presents.

Be sure to start with a cocktail and some nibbles at the rooftop bar before heading next door to the restaurant, mamas.

Dolce Vita’s Italian Chef de Cuisine, Marco Manocchio, is incredibly passionate about Italian cuisine, and uses the freshest, most authentic products — mostly imported from Italy.

The restaurant’s focus on service and the food experience is truly special
. Many of the dishes are served to you at the table by the maitre di or Chef, ensuring they can talk you through the ingredients whilst they serve.

We started with Homemade Buffalo Mozzarella from Naples, carved up tableside and served with anchovies, rocket and olive oil. Delicious!

Our pasta dish to follow was Hand Cut Tagliolini, with black truffle and veal jus. It was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavour.

Next up was the secondi: Tagliata di Manza (roasted prime beef bone in ribeye). Carved at the table and served with creamy mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables and the natural roasting juices from the meat, it has us in total heaven with the melt-in-your-mouth meat!!

Of course, the restaurant isn’t named Dolce Vita for nothing! It’s definitely worth saving a bit of room for the fabulous dessert menu. You’ll find all your Italian favourites here, served up with a modern twist. We particularly liked the tiramisu and the panna cotta – both superbly displayed, and of course quite tasty.

Dolce Vita is a truly visual feast, mamas!
