A Peranakan institution in Bukit Timah, this swish restaurant has inspired something of an empire with the additions of National Kitchen at the National Gallery and the Satay Bar in Clarke Quay. Considered the doyenne of Singapore cuisine, Violet Oon launched her first restaurant in the 1990s, and the current iteration opened in 2012. Menu highlights include a variety of pickled nibbles and classic Nyonya dishes like Kuay Pie Tee, Curry Chicken, and Beef Rendang. We also dream about the Buah Keluak Noodles!
NB: 2018 saw the addition of a brand new location at ION Orchard
