Serving up tasty American comfort food and creative pizzas, Blue Label comes from the same folks behind Luke’s Oyster Bar & Chop House. So alongside their authentic wood-fired pizzas, you can order the oysters that Luke’s is famous for, as well as other dishes like a great choice of salads, fries and wings (their Spinach Artichoke Dip is a hit with Americans in the know). Pizzas stray away from the boring usuals with combinations like Umami bomb ($29) of meaty shiitake mushrooms, spinach, lemon, anchovy and goats cheese with a cornmeal crust and for meaty-lovers, The Travis Supreme ($31) of ground chuck, special sauce and cheddar-bacon melt with a sesame crust. There’s even a “guest Pizza”, currently by Andrew Walsh of Cure (one of our fave restaurants in town). This pizza rocks patatas bravas, padrón peppers, and jamón ibérico.
