Love a shopping bargain, mama? Hit up the Buy to Save sale for designer clothes and accessories at an amazing price, all to benefit women in need across Southeast Asia!
Love designer clothes, but can’t handle Singapore’s steep luxury prices? Then head over to the Singapore Committee for UN Women’s Buy to Save sale happening this weekend at Forum the Shopping Mall. Credit cards at the ready, fashionistas!
Only the choicest high-end designer pre-loved garb is up for grabs. These upcycled and donated clothes, shoes and handbags will be the base of Buy to Save, all geared toward the goal of ending violence against women.
This fabulous three-day sale will feature the likes of Prada, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Balenciaga, Giorgio Armani, D&G, Vera Wang, Celine…the list goes on and on, mama (click here for an online preview of some of the amazing merchandise on offer)! Even better, the money raised will support UN Women’s local and regional programmes, funding projects that help women and young girls in Singapore and beyond, who are at serious risk of violence and abuse.
The Singapore Committee for UN Women does a super job supporting projects that help stop violence against women in Asia, so it’s time for us mamas to pitch in, too! Funds will also go directly to Help Anna, the pivotal campaign of 2015. The campaign raises awareness of the types of violence women can suffer from – both physical and cultural – with a particular focus on Cambodia. Through your generosity, you’ll be able to help tackle important issues like maternal mortality, violence, trafficking, illiteracy and unsafe migration.
Trina Liang-Lin, President of the Singapore Committee for UN Women says,
“With on average one in three women experiencing a form of abuse in their lifetime, initiatives that empower women economically are a critical form of prevention. Funds raised from Buy To Save 2015 will not only be going to support our public education work in Singapore but also towards both healthcare and entrepreneurship initiatives in one of the poorest countries in the region – Cambodia. The full potential of the world will never be realised if 50% of the population are not fully empowered to break the cycle of poverty.”
For a sneak peak, mamas can apply for membership or become a monthly donor to the Singapore Committee for UN Women before the event and get an invite to the Members and Monthly Donors Only Preview Sale (Friday 30th, Saturday 31st, 9am-10am). Click here to get your membership and be the first to get your mitts on the best designer threads, all for this mighty project! MasterCard will also donate $5 per purchase, so grab your MasterCard to make those dollars go even further.
