Always wanted to see a British Council class in action, mama? Check out their Young Learners Open House Events this June!

While British Council‘s study camps are a seasonal hit, they’re also well known for their year-round enrichment programmes for local pre-school, primary and secondary students to support their learning for school and beyond. Great for students who could use a boost in their English learning!

Pre-school English enrichment courses build a strong foundation in literacy skills to help children read and speak with confidence in preparation for entry to Primary 1. Interactive lessons help to engage children in developing their literacy and social skills in a friendly and secure learning environment.

At the Primary level, your child will be guided to gain confidence and skills to improve their overall performance in English. Teachers challenge students to think critically about topics and their own performance, to learn from their mistakes, and produce more developed work. When they progress to upper primary, British Council helps to develop comprehension techniques and composition skills supported by regular PSLE-style exam practice and personalised feedback.

Students in the Secondary level programme will focus on improving comprehension and composition skills, as teachers encourage them to challenge themselves and widen their world knowledge along the way. The centre will also provide personalised feedback and track each student’s progress!

British Council will be running Open Houses at their centres in Napier Road, Tampines, Marsiling and Toa Payoh on 8 & 15 June! Parents are cordially invited to experience a free trial class, where you’ll get to learn more about the curriculum, meet the teachers and see how they teach. Simply select your preferred centre, level and time slot here! It will be the perfect chance for you to get a sneak peek of their classes before considering signing your child up to British Council’s upcoming Semester 2 courses in July.

See you there!
