Ready to hit the beach, mama? Ola Beach Club offers families heaps of fun water sports, delicious food, and gorgeous views. Mama George has all the deets!

For as long as I remember Tanjong Beach has had the monopoly over beach clubs on Sentosa. Well Aloha mamas! –Hawaiian-themed Ola Beach Club arrived in November and we decided to put it the test! Is this the new place for families to kick back and hang loose?

Situated along the Siloso Beach stretch of Sentosa (a short walk from the beach car park, handily), Ola Beach Club launched at the end of November. It really does seem to tick all the boxes: Swimming Pool, sunbeds, water sports, great food, family changing facilities, fab views – and it didn’t disappoint!

This is the only place in Singapore that offers water sports like a donut ride, Kayaking, stand up paddle board, banana boat or jetblade thrills in the sea –starting at $35 per person for 15 minutes. My husband and our 8-year-old took to the seas on a donut (which they loved – super fast and a great work out for your arms!). They had a total blast, mamas.

Having worked up an appetite we delved into the fabulous Hawaiian-themed menu; the food here is prepared using premium produce and seafood, and is very tasty! I highly recommend the Ahi Poké Bowl – with fresh tuna, topped with guacamole and pomegranate on a bed of rice! Delicious. Another highlight was the Loco Moco – a Hawaiian classic consisting of a Wagyu patty served with a panko encrusted egg, which oozed golden yolk when cut into!

If you have any room left for the dessert – the kids were wowed by the Haupia Sphere ($22) – Valrhona dark chocolate sphere encasing coconut Chantilly cream, coconut sponge cake, nata de coco and vanilla ice cream – all revealed once hot chocolate sauce is poured over.

Chill out post dinner with a cocktail and watch the sun go down – chose from the bar swings, the cabanas, the day beds or simply in the pool. Just one thing to bear in mind, mamas: on weekends there’s an all-day DJ, and the music can get quite loud. This didn’t affect our experience at all – we had quite a lovely time – but just something to keep in mind for little ears.

Ola Beach Club is very cool – and a fab place to hang out with the kids!
