Get Creative with the Kiddos at Affordable Art Fair

It’s that time of year again, mama – where our walls start to look just a little tired and bare and in need of a definite refresh. What a coincidence that it’s also time for The Affordable Art Fair Singapore’s autumn edition! This year’s version is bigger and better than ever, with 86 galleries showcasing original contemporary work from more than 600 artists, all priced between $100 and $10,000!

Held in the F1 Pit Building, the Affordable Art Fair is all about making art fun, accessible, and affordable to as many people as possible. This includes kids, too! In fact the fair has set up an amazing Children’s Art Studio for kids 4 and up in collaboration with Little Artists Art Studio.

Kiddos will get to explore a variety of mediums and styles through hands-on fine arts workshops available every day of the fair – giving you a bit of mama me-time to browse on your own and perhaps creating the next generation of budding collectors in the process! There will even be designated youth tours to give kids special insights in language they can understand and appreciate. You’ll definitely want to get the kids in early, as there’ll be a limited number of complimentary activity packs brimming with even more arty fun to help kids keep on discovering their creative talents!

If you’re interested in art but a bit unsure about buying it, mama, the Affordable Art Fair offers an Art Education Programme that’s a great primer for helping you figure out what you like and appreciate it. If you’re jealous of the kids and feel the inspiration to create something yourself, there’ll be a number of hands-on workshops for the whole family, including chocolate painting and edible dessert creation with rockstar pastry chef Janice Wong of 2am Dessert Bar!

The Affordable Art Fair will be running from Thursday, 12 November – Sunday, 15 November, but listen up, mamas: we’ve snagged you free admission from 12-4pm on Friday, 13 November, just because you’re a Sassy Mama reader and we look out for each other like that! Tickets normally cost $18 at the door, but all you have to do is download the voucher below, either print it out or keep it on your phone, and flash it to the ushers at the door to gain free entry for you and your kids!
