Japan’s much-raved-about cosmetic brand is finally here in Singapore! Excel makeup focuses on a more subtle everyday makeup look, and one of the best ways to achieve it is with their easy-to-use Skinny Rich Shadow palettes. Available in six colour ways, the handy palette has four highly pigmented shades, all infused with Squalene to hydrate the eye area, which allows the eyeshadows to last longer. Mamas pressed for time will find it a breeze to apply these shadows for every occasion, whether it’s for a simple day of errand running or a glam night out. Each shade can be easily layered and blended to create a seamless, effortless look – no one will know it took you just five minutes to do!
Find it: Excel Skinny Rich Shadow is priced at $25.90 and can be found in Watsons physical stores and online.

Got any trips planned, mama? Singapore Airlines has just become the first carrier in the world to fly the new Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner. Already renowned for being quieter and more comfortable (due to improved cabin pressure and air quality) than other planes, the newest Dreamliner features cool features like self-adjusting wings that compensate for turbulence and larger windows that can dim at the touch of a button. On SQ you’ll also have over 1,000 entertainment options at the swipe or tap of a finger on your personal touchscreen; and those lucky enough to fly Business Class can look forward to plush full-flat beds with direct aisle access. Designated as a mid-range plane, the new Dreamliner’s first routes will be Osaka and Perth (Margaret River here we come!), with select training flights to KL and Bangkok as well.
Need a little going away gift? GODIVA’s new Wonderful City Dreams Collection will be the perfect surprise for those with a sweet tooth! Inspired by the world’s most iconic cities – London, New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, Brussels – the multi-layered chocolates are made up of different flavours that encapsulate each city perfectly.
New York features a cheesecake-flavoured mousse filling (yum!) with pieces of biscuit crumble in a blonde chocolate shell
London has a strawberry ganache and a violet-flavoure chocolate mousse in a white chocolate case
Tokyo combines Venezuelan milk chocolate and yuzu in a milk chocolate shell
Shanghai has hints of lychee with white chocolate ganache filling and roasted hazelnut nibs in a dark chocolate shell
Brussels is filled with hazelnut praline ganache with crunchy brésilienne encased in a dark chocolate shell
Find it: GODIVA Wonderful City Dreams Chocolate Gift Box priced at $54 for 9 pieces and $104 for 18 pieces at GODIVA Chocolatiers.
A fan of Young Living’s essential oils, mama? Now you can get the goodness of lavender oil, rose oil, and geranium oil (among others) in your makeup with Young Living’s new all-natural makeup line, Savvy Minerals. The line is cruelty-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free, featuring a full range of mineral foundations, blushes, eye and brow colours, lipsticks and synthetic brushes. Our top pick? The Foundation, available in nine shades and best used with their Misting Spray (infused with 10 different essential oils!). The lightweight formula has a surprisingly good amount of coverage for a powder product, so mamas who aren’t into liquid textures will love this.
Find it: Available at the Young Living Singapore store at TripleOne Somerset and online.
There’s a new staycay spot in town and we’re in love! Situated in the heart of Chinatown, Six Senses Duxton is part of a conservation project that has been sustainably restored by British designer Anouska Hempel, featuring a diverse mix of Chinese, Malay and European elements. No two rooms are alike – each of the 49 guestrooms and suites have their own personalities across eight themed categories! Hotel dining options include Yellow Pot, which offers classic and innovative Chinese cuisine and an antiquarian library-themed lobby bar. A unique feature of the hotel is Six Senses Experiences, a curated selection of handpicked fun and educational activities in the neighbourhood.
