If the name sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen us talk about ForestPlay before! ForestPlay is Singapore’s pioneer Nature Adventure Playscape in Sentosa with a massive 13,000 square foot play area complete with a swing, woodworking and mud pit fun overlooking the scenic Tanjong Beach. They’re known for promoting ‘risky play’, which gives kids the opportunity to safely use tools such as saws, hammers and nails to explore risk evaluation and develop grit! Explorers @ ForestPlay is their latest offering – this weekly forest school programme takes kids on a learning adventure with nature leading the way.

A unique forest school experience

Suitable for children age 3.5 – 7 years old, Explorers @ ForestPlay will allow children to get curious and ‘take risks’ in nature so they can develop essential 21st Century Skills such as grit and resilience. ForestPlay Rangers will also impart lessons on the importance of a more sustainable earth by allowing children to experience the various benefits of nature and getting kids to interact with the natural environment. All Forest School Rangers are certified and recognised internationally as Forest School Level 3 Leaders.

Different experiences every week

Each week, kids will explore different themes and topics that can be found in nature at Explorers @ ForestPlay. These themes include relationships and interconnectedness, ecosystems, geology, biodiversity, flora, and fauna and more! Sessions are conducted regularly via a guided discovery approach to learning where children will get hands-on and work on a design problem each week, bolstering their creativity. That’s not all! Children will also get their little hands busy hammering, experimenting with wood working and lashing away to make their own shelters and fire, in line with ForestPlay’s mission to encourage risky play for kids!
