Inspired by Reggio Emilia and an inquiry-based curriculum, the new AIS Early Learning Village will excite, engage and support young minds!

Have you been searching for that ‘perfect’ school to send your littlies to, mama? A fabulous new option has just come on the scene! In a quest to revolutionize learning in the early years, The Australian International School is launching its Early Learning Village this July.

A brand new facility with space for 800 little learners between 18 months to 6 years, this purpose-built environment is truly the first of its kind in our city! This brand spanking new campus is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, thus placing your child right at the centre of all learning. The natural environment acts like a third teacher — meaning more curiosity, discovery and your bubba leading his or her own journey!

Classrooms aren’t just classrooms: try Kookaburra and Possums instead! Learning areas are clustered together to get that feeling of a community going within the larger school set up. Each of these clusters are named after Australian animals, to ensure the fun never ends for the little ones.

The Early Learning Village has been deliberately designed to keep the needs of young learners in mind. The two-depth swimming pool, for starters, allows baby waders to stay at one end whilst the deeper end can be used for swim lessons. There’s even a dance studio, 3 outdoor play decks and a multi -purpose music and movement room included in the village.

Curriculum-wise, students will follow the world-renowned IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) which draws on the principles of Reggio Emilia philosophy and allows for plenty of inquiry-based learning. Within this framework, they’ll enjoy weekly Mandarin lessons, Smart Steps physical development and speech & drama lessons to encourage curiosity and wonder in those adventurous minds.
